Blanket and a Quilt

Hi Y'all,

some of you asked me about my granny-square blanket. In fact it's finished.
For now I'm ready with it but maybe I will cover the backside with some fabric when the winter is coming. We will see.

Next is a quilt for my little niece. She's loving Minnie Mouse. So I bought some fabrics to do a quilt for her.
Until now I did only a few easy patterned quilts. So I decided to do a pattern which is a little bit more challenging. Please keep you fingers crossed for it will work and she'll love it.

Hope to see ya soon

Organization the crafts corner

Hi there,

as you know I'm crafting all kinds. So I need my craft supplies organized. Because my supplies were a little messy I looked through my crafting stash and found a few tin cans and some nice paper napkins.
I splitted the napkin in their individual layers and glued the colored one with homemade modge podge onto the cans.
Now everything is nicely organized and handy.

'Til then.

New Family Member

Hi Y'all!

Today I'd like to introduce a new member of the homeisintheheart-family to you. Finally I got female enhancement. Nooo, not a kid - a cat!

Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome Tiger-Lilly!
She's about a year old and lives with us for now 2 weeks and I think she'll stay with us. The tomcats weren't really amused about her at first, because she's growling at them most of the time. But now they've learned to tolerate each other, with little exceptions. I hope it'll be even better. But for now I'm satisfied.

Because of the new family member I had to change one of our cat arts.
As you may noticed our favorite pet are cats. What's your favorite pet and why?

Thank you for stopping by

Peanut butter bundt cake

Hi Folks,

I'm always open for some new cake recipes and because I have some willing testers (better known as my colleagues) I can do it without losing my own shape. The other day I had to try this recipe because I'm a little peanut butter junkie {psst - don't tell anybody}

Ingredients for the batter
3/8 cup soft butter + a little bit for the pan
2/3 cup sugar
ground vanilla to taste
1/3 cup peanut butter (I used: creamy)
2 eggs
1 3/8 cup flour + some for the pan
1 Tsp baking powder
2.8 oz buttermilk
optional: 4 Tbsp roasted, salted peanuts (roughly chopped)

Ingredients for the frosting:
1 pack whole milk chocolate coating

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease the bundt pan with butter and sprinkle with flour, then the cake comes out without accidents.

Add the softened butter, sugar, vanilla and peanut butter in a large mixing bowl (or your food processor). Let it mix for a few minutes until it becomes a thick creamy consistency. Afterwards stir in both eggs thoroughly.

Mix flour and baking powder in a small bowl and add to the butter mixture. Now add the buttermilk. Stir all briefly and vigorously until a smooth dough is formed. Finally mix in in the chopped peanuts.

Pour the mixture into the greased bundt pan and smooth a bit. Bake in the lower third of your oven for about 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.

Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool into the pan for about 30 minutes.

Now heat the coating over boiling water until it's molten and pour over the cake. Let it harden and enjoy.

What cake have you recently baked?
