Crocheted Christmas Presents

Hello Folks,

I know, I know I'm late with posting this week. But there is a good reason for that. I first had to finish all my crochted christmas presents. - Yeah I'm done with all the presents for this year!

My niece and nephew had special wishes for what they wanted from Santa. And because I'm one of Santa's good Elf's I finished them just in time. My niece saw a picture of Pippi-Lotta the dragon and wanted one of her own. And my nephew saw an Asterix and Obelix movie and wanted to have an Obelix.
If there is still time until I see my nephew, I might make a Boulder for the Obelix
And here are some other christmas presents that were a custom order from my colleague and good friend. She always orders about 20 items of something. 2 years ago she ordered some voodoo dolls. Last year she orderd 20 minions (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of them - bad blogger behaviar 😢).  This year's topic were SNAILS.

At this point I wanted to wish you a calm and peaceful christmas. Have a great time with your families.
Merry Christmas

Red, white and green

Hey there!

Hope y'all had a nice 1st Advent yesterday. Today I want to show you some of our christmas decorations.
Let's start with the lights outside. Hubby installed the icicles and bows on Saturday. - Thank you Hubby!

Now come on. Let's go inside, because

Our halloween lights and that pin brought me to one of todays idea. I have to admit that it don't look very nice in the daylight. But look at it at night.

Another illuminated item is this hurricane glass.

I had a similar one last year with other colors. You might have noticed that it's all about red, white and green this year.

You're certainly asking yourself if there is nothing new crocheted? Of course there is... Here's Gingy the new guy in town

And there are some other old buddies too that visited us for the fa-la-la-la-season again.

The Grinch

Santas little Helper
The Elf on the shelf

Thank you for stopping by.

The Good Dinosaur - Spot

Hi there,

hope you're all doing well.
A few weeks ago my little nephew had his 6th birthday. He got a big and cuddly plush Arlo.
Arlo is best known from the Disney movie "Arlo & Spot (The good Dinosaur)". But this Arlo misses his Spot. Therefore my nephew asked if I can crochet a Spot for his Arlo.
So I went to work, and I have to say, that my Spot figured out very well.
This was the first time that I used the felt-technique for the hair of my amigurmi and I love how it looks like. As you may know how it is with little sisters, my sweet niece needed a Spot of her own so badly, that I crocheted one for her too.
Hope to see ya soon

Lego Storage Heads

Hi Y'all!

I hope you Halloween was very spooky ;)

This year my nephew and niece got lego for big kids for their birthdays. Until now they played with lego duplo and loved it. Now my brother and sister-in-law decided that it's time to change to the smaller pieces. To store the legos my mum and I decided that it would be funny to have a lego storage head for both kids.
Unfortunately I only found that boy's head for fair price.
The girl's head was twice as much. Therefore I bought 2 of the boy's heads and thought of bringing my silhouette to the game. So fresh to the work and plotting a few eyelashes, lips and a pink bow. Storage head for girls, here we go ...
Both kids liked their new lego AND the storage heads :)

Hope to see ya next week.

Halloween 2016

Happy Halloween!

This year's halloween is inspired by Pinterest. Am I addicted? Yes! So let's see what I found.
  • Illuminated Jars
I got the idea, as often, while searching trough Pinterest when I saw this and that.

  • Halloween Birthday cake
(For my little niece, - she turned 4 on Friday - because my mum told me that I had to bring a cake especially for the kids. OK, nothing easier than that!) I was inspired by this cake
  • Halloween Cookies
I found these and these cookies that I wanted to try. But to be honest, they were a total fail so I haven't got photos from this desaster.
  • Halloween wreath
This one it totally inspired by myself (thrilling!) and a tip from hubby

Have a spooky evening

Jünter

Dear all!

After I have crocheted only black-yellow dragons for a while, I was very glad when I got the request to crochet another animal. Admittedly, it's already black again, but it was a nice change. This is Jünter.

It's the mascot of the soccer team Borussia Mönchengladbach. Even if I have no idea of soccer, I hope it will bring luck to his new owner.

See ya all next week with - surprise!! - a Halloween post.

Cat-TV

Welcome back!

Since we first bought our house 5 years ago we had an old TV as a"barn find". We often talked about what to do with it. We tried to find another good home for this buddy, but no one was interested in adopting this sweetie. So we decided that we will keep it and give it the chance for a totally other kind of life - as a cat tv.

This is what it looked like when we found it at the barn.

After hubby had removed all the e
lectronic components I did a hard but successful job with sanding.

Then I painted everything new in dark brown and white.

Unfortunately we couldn't save the adjustment buttons.
So we will have a look at the
flea markets in the area, next time.

For the bottom I upholstered a chipboard with volume fleece and cord fabric.

To make it easier for the cats to adopt the new furniture, we laid in a blanket that has already been accepted by them.

Hope you all have an as compfy place as our cats to stay warm and cozy when autumn starts.

Snowflake hat

Hi Folks!

Nice that you're back. Because it's getting colder outside, I was asked by my sweet neighbor if I could do a few new hats for her little daughters. Both girls love, how might it be different, the Disney movie "Frozen". So I was asked if I can do hats with snowflakes on it. This is what I came up with.
I was inspired by this hat from Sweet Southern Stitches that I found over at ravelry.com
Thanks for dropping in.

Halloween Quilt

Happy Fall Y'all!

Finally autumn has arrived. So I thought it's time to do a quilt again. And because October is Halloween-Season at all, what could be better than a halloween quilt?

I bought these nice fabrics over at Dawanda*

The back is a cotton duvet cover, I bought at IKEA*.

I designed the pattern with the super easy to use, free software from Pattern Jam.*

The result is a cozy Halloween quilt.

BTW
: Did you mentioned the 2 little pumpkins at the bottom of the halloween quilt? These were 2 of this year's harvest.

Thank you for stopping by

*All opinions are mine and I wasn't paid for it.
