Cat inspired Silhouette

Hi Y'all

Until I can show you the result of the renovation we're started, I'll show you some smaller things that have been created while playing around with my silhouette. They're all a bit cat-inspired.
We have two jars, filled with cat treats and I wanted to look them more according to their purpose.
Also I made two pictures for the living room because we wanted to have more art, that shows the love for our cats. I asked myself why to hang the pictures only the commonly way. So I decided to hang them up an other way.
40 x 40 cm on white primed canvas

40 x 40 cm on black primed canvas

Third was, to show everybody where's the cats corner/feeding place.

In this pic you can see our storage containers I created earlier on the blog.

Hope to see you soon

Back door Porch

Hi!

At last I finished the last cat bed for my charity project and now I'm open for something new. But until then I wanted to show you something that I missed showing here. Our self-built back door porch.

At the beginning of May Mr. Heart and I had a few days off and so we planned to build a back door porch. Until this time there was only a small and ugly pedestal with a minimally roofing.
We decided to extend the podium, so we get place to store some garden equipment. Then we installed a bigger roof and matched the colors to the rest of the house.
In the end I'm really in love with this new porch.
Now I have to find some nice items to decorate... {really difficult task}

For the moment we're working on a room that will maybe become my sewing room. As you know, Hubby is the whole week away from home so we only had the weekends to move forward. We'll see how long it will take to finish the room.

You see: There's never a dull moment with us...

'Til next time

Pin board makeover

Hi Folks,

Even though I'm under the weather, I would like to tell you what I've done last week. I am still busy with crocheting pet beds and I did a small project additionally. It's a little makeover project or a fairy tale, who knows.

Once there was an ugly old pin board that no one likes anymore.
But then there came a good fairy1 and gave him some new clothes² and a fresh makeover³ to find his forever love.
After the the makeover the pin board found his new home next to a beautiful silhouette cameo.

If they will live happily ever after, we will see...

Thank you for dropping in

Crocheting for Charity, again

Hi Y'all,

it was once again time for doin' something good to God's creatures. The other day there was a publication on facebook that Hand und Pfote Lohfelden e.V. searches Ladies and Gentleman who are able and willing to help with their crochet skills. (Do you know somebody who's crocheting the whole time???? - mwahahahahaha)

I asked what they wanted to crochet and what for. I was told that there will be a summer open air party on June, 21th where they wanted to sell some goodies for the welfare of the animals.
Of course, I offered to help. They wanted to have pet beds like this:
Sorry, no source. I only get the picture and a translated instruction

So I go to work and soon I came up with these three mice:

There were 6 other women who crocheted, too. Keep fingers crossed the mice will make a lot of money for the poor babies.

This was my second charity-project. As you might remember, I already crocheted for charity last december.

Thank you for stopping by!
xoxo

B & B

(Buddha & Bath room)

Hi Folks,

because of my just survived writer's block I'll start again with a small post. I only wanted to show you the last decorative object for the bathroom.
It's a smiling Buddha. (Every time I look at him, I have to smile too!) Because we build our bathroom in an zen-style, with orchid pictures and stone pictures, black and white tiles and wenge furniture, we totally have to have a Buddha figure. We searched for a long time to find a figure that we both love. In the end here it is. We sat him in a silver bowl filled with fine white sand (like a zen garden) and add some nice orchids.

First the Kittens were really excited about this Buddha and played with the sand and the orchids the whole day. You can imagine that there was a big mess every day I came home from work. But now they accepted him and leave him in silence. Hope he brings us luck.

'Til next time!

Aaand back!

Hi Y'all!

Even if you might thought I'm no longer here, so I want to tell you that I'm still alive. But very quiet. I've done a lot of things in the meantime but unfortunately I had a slight writer's block. I couldn't put 2 sentences together sensibly. So I stopped the blog for a while and now I'm back, hoping the writer's block has ended. (Keep fingers crossed, please!)

With my first post after the break I wanted to inform you that I have now a homepage. It's called homeisintheheart.net and is an addition to this blog.  (Yes, a really genuine homepage! - freak out). You might think it's no big deal, but for me it's a really big step.

Certainly you noticed the change of design on this little blog. It's a tribute to the new homepage. I wanted to look them similar.
The site is still under construction but I'll do my very best to fill it with life.

We'll see how things will go on.

Hope to see you soon
