Crafts room art

Hi Y'all,

as I told you a few weeks ago, Hubby and I built a crafts room. Until now the walls were very white and dreary. This had to be changed. So I went to work. I had 2 blank canvas 30 x 30 in stock, I wanted to use.
I searched the web for some inspiration. As often I found it over at Pinterest

First I painted one of the canvas in rainbow colors. Then, like I did earlier, I cut out the motif from vinyl adhensive foil with my silhouette and applied it to the canvas. After this I painted black all over. When all was dry, I peeled away the adhesive foil. This is what came out.
The 2nd canvas was painted in gold. Next was cutting and applying the motif like above. But this canvas was painted in black with a few shadows of gold. When I peeled of the foil, after drying, it looked like this.
Both quotes matches me perfectly, sometimes.
This is the first part of bringing a bit of colors to my little world ;-)

Tiled tray

Hi there,

as I promised last week, I'll show you something done without a hook. This project started indeed in Summer 2014 (!!) I had this old ugly wooden tray. It really wasn't a pretty sight with all it's stains.
First I decided to paint the tray with white color, and planned tiling. But very soon I realized that tiles would be too heavy.
Because I had no other idea it went back into my WIP-Stock for 1 1/2 years. Then I had an epiphany or in other words I saw something similiar over at Pinterest. Old DVDs are the material of choice. I cut them into little pieces and glued a mosaic onto the tray. When all the mosaic pieces where in place, I gave them 2 or 3 coats of clear furniture polish. This is what I came up with.
And a closer look at the mosaic.
It looks really nice in the sunshine with all it's color reflections.

See y'all next week with another project without a hook.

Rocky Horror Minion Show

Hi Everybody,

these are the last of the withhold amigurumi creations I told you about. My best friend who orderd so many dolls before (like Trafalgar Law, Raito or Sadness), is a big fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show as of the minions too. So what could be closer than making dolls like this cute minion????
I'll tell you! Nothing!

I'm looking forward to what I can do for my good friend next!

But until then I will show you a few things made without hooking.

Frozen - Olaf

Hi Y'all

nice that you're stumbled in again. The posts of the last few weeks were dealing with crochet gifts and this week is no exception. A nice colleague asked me, if I could do an amigurumi for him again. The last time he asked for Dumbo. This time he aked for Olaf, the snowman from the Disney movie: Frozen. If you don't know him (and I think this is probably unthinkable) this is what he looks like.
This is what I came up with.
There's still one present up to show. So rejoice for next week.
