Hiding the Litter Box

A few weeks ago I saw this over at Pinterest (here's the Link):

Immediately I was sure I wanted to have one of my own. So on Saturday we went to Ikea and bought this storage bench. We cut an opening at the side and brought two hinges on the lid. It turned out well. 

   

  

It looks much neater and there's enough space to store even the bag with the cat litter. Me and the cats love it.

Laundry Room Renewal - Part 3 - The Tiles

As I promised I wanted to show you the embellished tiles in our Laundry Room. We worked really hard and it's done. First I want to refresh your memory. This was what we saw, when we first went into this room:

Then we modified the room, step by step as you can see here, to create a Laundry Room. Now we've done the last step: The horrible tiles are history! And tadaaa, here is the new room:

  

It only needs a few decorations and it's really done.
BTW: With the colour I was inspired by a dear colleague kitchen. I think she know that she's meant ☺

Laundry Room Renewal - Part 2 - A Bench

Because we're using our laundry room as a mudroom too, we had a few pairs of shoes there. And I hated to put the shoes on, while standing. So I asked hubby to build a bench, together. Of course he said, Yes! I would like to have a bank of wood, similar to a bench in a sauna. 2 hours of work and this is what came out:

The best is, that our shoe rack could be perfectly integrated into the bench. Oh, I love the new bench.

By the way: Today I started painting the terrible brown tiles. It already looks better. You may be curious.
