From Bath to Laundry Room

A little over two years ago we bought our house. Pretty soon we realized that the bathroom can not remain as it is, because it was a passage room. We decided to create a new bathroom and remodel the old one as laundry room. When we first went in, the room looked like this:

Uuuuaaaah awful.

We removed the sanitary facilities, put in a new floor and a few cabinets, as well the washing machine and the dryer and tata, it looks like this:

Aaah much better. Next step is modifying the built-in closet. It has a hideous light-brown. Hope to show you in January.

Thanks for stopping by.

Selfmade Christmas Presents

I hope y'all had happy holidays. I told you I'll be back between Christmas and New Years. At the moment there is no finished project, so I decided to show you some Christmas presents I made for my family.

All nuts

It's tradition  to make candy almonds while the christmas season. My mother taught me years ago. But this year I wanted to try something new. I tried to crystallize hazelnuts, walnuts and peanuts, too. This is the result:

There is nothing other to say than: Y U M M Y!!!

Fingerless Mittens

My colleague has constantly cold hands so she asked me if I could crochet her a pair of mittens. Of course I can. And because I can, I made her 2 pairs of fingerless mittens.

Christmas Felt Ornaments

To welcome the Christmas season I had the idea to decorate our staircase. Because of our four-legged friends, I had to do this with something that they can't destroy easily. So I made these tiny felt ornaments.

I cut cardboard stencils and transfer them to felt. Then I cut them out (every motif twice), sew them together and filled with fiberfill to make them a little sculptural.

And what should I say: Of course the cats love them ;-)

Wooden Snowmen welcome

These guys will welcome you at our front door while the wintertime.
They were made from wood and painted with cute faces. The hats were knitted and the scarfs were crocheted.

I was inspired by these ones:
