Abby inspired Dolly

It's not a secret that one of my most favorite TV series is Navy CIS and I think most of you know that my profile pic at social media is an "Abby" inspired Lalaloopsy Doll. (Background information: Abby Sciuto is the very symphatic forensic scientist at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service headquarters at the Washington Navy Yard.)
I got so many requests for a doll like this but I always said, that I would never do this "Abby" twice.
A few weeks ago there was a request again. So I decided to create a "Abby" from an other pattern.
Hope her new mummy loves her.

Aviator Hat

Hi Folks,

finally I found back my inner peace for crocheting. Today I've got a funny hat for you. My good friend - who got the Eire Quilt too - asked me if I could crochet this aviator hat for him.
Sorry, I don't know the original source :-(

If you can imagine the hat had to be a littler bigger than for a cute toddler 😉
But I love funny challenges and I'm impressed about people who are self confident enough to wear such showy hats. So quick I went to work and here's what I came up with
He is really happy with this hat. Now it can get colder. ⛄

Would you wear such a hat too?

xoxo

Light on, Toothless!

Two and a half years ago I crocheted my first Toothless. After I've seen the film "How to Train Your Dragon 2" I knew that I wanted to do another Toothless, but this time with the update Toothless got at this film.
At this film he became a Titan Wing. He glows blue along the spine when he's all charged up, ready to fire his plasma blasts and his firepower level is at a higher level as never before.
More about the dragons you can find at: http://howtotrainyourdragon.wikia.com

Thank you for dropping in and hope to see you soon

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - Niffler

A while back Hubby and I went to the cinema to watch the incredible film: "Fantastic beasts and where to find them." Immediately I was in love with the Niffler and I asked Hubby if I could have one for myself. Hubby told me that they are only fantasy and not real. Hasn't he still learned anything? Poor Muggle. He can't see all the magic around us. 🙈

So I serached my favorite crochet platform Ravelry for a pattern for a Niffler. Soon I found a very nice pattern and this is what I came up with.

I have to say, that I got a Niffler from Hubby for my Birthday too. It's a Funko Pop character:

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again.

Moana - Pua

A few weeks ago a dear colleag asked me: "Can you crochet a pua? For my little daughter?"
I asked myself: "A what???" 😕 and switched over to Google.

At Disney-Wiki I found this: Pua is a minor character in Disney's animated feature film, Moana. He is Moana's pot-belly pet pig and best friend.

At the internet I found many pics, too. So I answered my colleague: "I'll give it a try!"

Here's what I came up with:

This is one of the pics I used as a template.

Thank you for visiting my little blog. Hope to see you again.

Smokin' monkeys - Déjà-vu

Hello there!

The other day I was sitting at my hairdresser and we talked about my crochet-creations. So she had a look at what I've done earlier. While she was scrolling through all the pictures she found something that made her laughing so hard. So I agreed to do it again.

Here's the earlier version.

See you soon

Little Donkey

Hello!

Today I have a little Donkey for you to show. He will be a future birthday present for Soccer fan that loves Donkeys. In order to make the little one even more individual, he will get the emblem of the favorite soccer club. I can't show the emblem at the moment because I don't want to spoil the surprise.

While we're talking about soccer and fans and emblems. All orders for Emma's are done. *Yeah!* It has nearly become a whole soccer team.

Hope to see you next week.

Wild piggies for Obelix

Hello!

Let's have roast wild boar! Or 2? Two are better than one. So thought I when I crocheted these:

You may remember the Obelix Amigurumi I made for my Nephew for Christmas.

A while back he asked if I can do a boar, too, because Obelix is always eating wild boars.

Hope Obelix likes his boars.

Workwear for the bear

Hi there!

This weekend's project for a mental health (while crocheting Emmas) was crocheting workwear for the mascot of Hubbys Truck Driver Group. The mascot always goes with one Driver and if he meet another Driver from the Group, the mascot changes the abode.

Hope and her daughter Faith needed urgently real workwear so they don't always dirt their fur. So I created them both a pair of matching working pants. For the bandanna of Hope I choose the look of "Rosie the Riveter".

Thank you for stopping by.

A little bit of green

Hi Y'all,

here's my little contribution for St. Patricks day decoration

The Luck of the Irish sign was one of the first creations I made with my Silhouette back in 2015. The little Puppet was made the same year. I call these oldies but goldies.

This year I have 2 easy peasy new decoration items:
  1.  A green candle in an with gold ornamental gravel filled glas bowl.

  2. An irish blessing I found over at pinterest. I printed it out and put it in a golden frame I had on hand.

Finish is the decoration. Thanks for visting my little blog.

Jamaica Beanie

Hi there!

Another quick and easy crocheting project in-between is a slouchy beanie like this. It's worked in continuous rounds of double-crocheted stiches. The cuff is knitted.

Otherwise I continue to working on some Emmas to finish the orders I got.

Thanks for droppin' in and hope to see you next week.

Emma

Hi there,

everybody in blogland is talking about Valentine's day. And so did I with last week's post. But I think that's enough for this year. So today I want to show you something Non-Valentiny but cute.

This is Emma the Bee.

She's the mascot of the German soccer team Borrusia Dortmund and it was fun to find out how to crochet. Lucky me there were so many pics of Emma at the web. So I made my own pattern.

Emma is the second mascot I've crocheted. The first one was Jünter, you maybe remember.

Nightglow Eumel

Hi Folks,

today I have another Eumel for you. Last summer I made the first Eumel for a sweet friend. This one is for a the dear colleage, I made the Buhbel last week for.

Because I wanted to do something special with this Eumel I gave him a big heart of denim.

Not enough with this, I sewed it on with night-glow-yarn. So it looks like this in the dark.

Thank you for stopping by

Buhbels

Hi there,

do you know "Buhbels"? No? Neither do I. - Until now!

A few weeks ago my dear colleague sent me some blurry and yellowish photos of a kids room wallpaper and asked if I can do one of these monsters. It was the first time I've ever seen them.

Happily I could spot some letters within the first pic. So I started a internet search for "Buhbels" and luckily found a few better pics. I chose this one as template

and started just crocheting because there is no pattern for this. I'm really delighted with the result.

What do you think?

I hope you will be back next time.

Crocheted Christmas Presents

Hello Folks,

I know, I know I'm late with posting this week. But there is a good reason for that. I first had to finish all my crochted christmas presents. - Yeah I'm done with all the presents for this year!

My niece and nephew had special wishes for what they wanted from Santa. And because I'm one of Santa's good Elf's I finished them just in time. My niece saw a picture of Pippi-Lotta the dragon and wanted one of her own. And my nephew saw an Asterix and Obelix movie and wanted to have an Obelix.
If there is still time until I see my nephew, I might make a Boulder for the Obelix
And here are some other christmas presents that were a custom order from my colleague and good friend. She always orders about 20 items of something. 2 years ago she ordered some voodoo dolls. Last year she orderd 20 minions (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of them - bad blogger behaviar 😢).  This year's topic were SNAILS.

At this point I wanted to wish you a calm and peaceful christmas. Have a great time with your families.
Merry Christmas

Red, white and green

Hey there!

Hope y'all had a nice 1st Advent yesterday. Today I want to show you some of our christmas decorations.
Let's start with the lights outside. Hubby installed the icicles and bows on Saturday. - Thank you Hubby!

Now come on. Let's go inside, because

Our halloween lights and that pin brought me to one of todays idea. I have to admit that it don't look very nice in the daylight. But look at it at night.

Another illuminated item is this hurricane glass.

I had a similar one last year with other colors. You might have noticed that it's all about red, white and green this year.

You're certainly asking yourself if there is nothing new crocheted? Of course there is... Here's Gingy the new guy in town

And there are some other old buddies too that visited us for the fa-la-la-la-season again.

The Grinch

Santas little Helper
The Elf on the shelf

Thank you for stopping by.
