Snowflake hat

Hi Folks!

Nice that you're back. Because it's getting colder outside, I was asked by my sweet neighbor if I could do a few new hats for her little daughters. Both girls love, how might it be different, the Disney movie "Frozen". So I was asked if I can do hats with snowflakes on it. This is what I came up with.
I was inspired by this hat from Sweet Southern Stitches that I found over at ravelry.com
Thanks for dropping in.

Frozen - Olaf

Hi Y'all

nice that you're stumbled in again. The posts of the last few weeks were dealing with crochet gifts and this week is no exception. A nice colleague asked me, if I could do an amigurumi for him again. The last time he asked for Dumbo. This time he aked for Olaf, the snowman from the Disney movie: Frozen. If you don't know him (and I think this is probably unthinkable) this is what he looks like.
This is what I came up with.
There's still one present up to show. So rejoice for next week.

First steps with my new silhouette cameo

Hi Everybody,

Again I was very busy. As you might remember I've got this one last year for my birthday! This year I wanted to have something completely different. I've got a few vouchers from amazon for my birthday. So I could by this Silhouette Cameo
For my first project I wanted to do something simple. As you know I  love my cats and I wanted to show. So I decided to do this design for my tablet case.
Because the first project went out really well, I thought I could start a little bit more difficult. So I did another catloving project for our living room.
The Heart is made from red wool
Since the weekend I have the hope and feeling that spring starts. Before I put this little guy down for the summer I thought I would be fun to make a quick shot together with the decoration for St. Patrick's Day.

Thanks for dropping in.

Christmas recap

Hi Everybody!

I hope y'all had a holly jolly christmas with your friends and family.

Here's a small selection of the things that I've completed the last few days and weeks.

These 3 snowmen were presents for my mum, godmother and SIL. I made them out of clay pots, styrophor balls, paint, wooden beads and a small amount of ribbon. The eyes were out of wacky eyes but they could also be painted like the mouth.

Probably you know this one from the Dreamworks movies "How to Train Your Dragon". Yes, it's he himself: Toothless the Dragon. I made him for a friend, who had his birthday a few days before christmas. He absolutly loves dragons in all versions.
And this nice guy was finished at the last minute of christmas 2014. I found the pattern on december 25th and immediately decided to crochet him. He was finished at December 26th in the late evening.

Incidentally, I've knitted several pairs of socks and crafted some other odds and ends (which I haven't photographed) for christmas.

Thank you for stopping by

Wooden Snowmen welcome

These guys will welcome you at our front door while the wintertime.
They were made from wood and painted with cute faces. The hats were knitted and the scarfs were crocheted.

I was inspired by these ones:
